- Select proper fuel and lubricant depending upon application for better performance and maintenance of automobiles.
- Take care of issues related to environmental conservation and disaster management.

- Use appropriate Emission Control Device & Systems as per country prevailing emission-norms and Test and analyses various Emission Control Devices to reduce air pollutant.
- Select suitable alternative fuels for controlling pollution.
- Design (basic design) various automobile components including selection of proper material for them.
- Supervise vehicle body manufacturing and repair work.
- Use knowledge of Kinematics and Dynamics in manufacturing and maintenance of automobile systems for vehicle operation and performance.
- Improve efficiency, security, safety & performance of automobile using electronics and technology. Plan, organize, and manage various aspects of automobile operations and business for profitability and growth.
- Supervise simple manufacturing processes required for manufacturing and repairs of systems / components of automobiles.
- Work in workshop/garage to identify the fault, repair the fault, test the components and reassemble the automobiles.
- Remedy engine troubles, automobile transmission systems and electrical systemsbased on diagnosis and testing using suitable instruments and tools.
- Troubleshoot using standard procedures for maintaining vehicle air conditioning and heating systems.
- Apply knowledge of Motor vehicle acts, insurance policy and procedure for claims to be settled against accidents.
